The best moment is when you overcome a challenge that at first may have seemed pretty much impossible. This goes for most things, if you work hard on something and start to see results it is most likely going to make you happy in a way that is unique.

Overcoming failure is one of the most delightful experiences a person can experience in his/her lifetime. However most people aren’t willing to overcome failure, if they see a challenge instead of facing it they usually try to find a way to skip it. Remember hard work always pays off no matter how many times you fail one time or the other you will succeed.

Thomas Edison is an excellent example of perseverance, whose most important invention was the light bulb, which had taken him 1,000 tries before he developed a successful prototype. “How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?” a reporter asked. “I didn’t fail 1,000 times,” Edison responded. “The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps.”

One of the best ways to consider failure as slow success, is if you consider it to be a teacher. You must learn what works, but more importantly you must understand what doesn’t work.

Now, what is good about failure?

1. You learn about what doesn’t work and what does

Instead of seeing failure as a bad thing, we can all learn from it and not repeat the same steps that lead us to failure in the future. As the quote goes “What doesn’t work once, will not work the second time.”

2. You become mentally stronger and able to handle more

The more you fail, the more your ability to handle adversity becomes stronger. This skill is one of the most important things that you need in the real world. Everything doesn’t go as you plan it to go, Isaac Newton once said, “What goes up, must come down” this is also true for people, because after every stage of adversity there is a stage of happiness.

3. Your chances of succeeding increases

Anything that you do consists of Math, the person who is more successful than the other person only has one thing in difference. The person who is more successful has had to put in more hours of hard work, more late nights staying up working on the business. If a Real Estate agent knows that for every 100 people he advertises 1 person to buy a house. To get to a certain amount of sales, he has to find a way to advertise to more people, and proportionally, sales will go up too.

“To every success, there has to be some sort of failure. To every failure, there has to some sort of success.”

4. Failure creates new opportunities

Many people believe that everything happens for a reason, we just don’t know what it is at the time. Failures often bring unforeseen opportunities that would not have been available without the failure in the first place. You often need to close one door so that another door of opportunity can be opened for you. Failure is a way of one door closing. Failure is seldom the end; it is often a bright beginning.

5. Failure provides answers

If you don’t try and fail, you will never know if your idea or method is going to work. You spend time worrying that you don’t have the answer; you wonder whether it would have worked. The pain of regret is far worse than the pain of failure. When you fail, you can start again; with regret, you will never know.

6. Failure gives you the best chance of success

Research out of Stanford University has shown that those who are the top of their field are the ones who have failed the most. Having to persevere to learn a new skill gives you the advantage over someone who gets it right first time. Learning many ways how not to do it gives you the edge over the person who hasn’t have that experience.

Don’t view failure as bad luck, instead look at each attempt to reach your goals as a triumph. There’s always something to learn, ways to grow, different viewpoints to see, and new opportunities waiting just around the corner. So get in and have a go. Fail fast and recover quickly to try again. Use every failure as an opportunity to learn and to grow as a person. Remember that every failure is like one step on the stairway to success. Above all else, remember this: If you never fail, you will never succeed.
